This week’s Netflix Top 10 sees many duplicate titles from last week, including Cobra Kai, The Witcher, Emily in Paris, The Queen of Flow and Maid. These series have been extremely popular, and fans counted down for their new season’s releases.

Stay Close

Harlan Coben has the Midas touch when it comes to his book to series adaptations for Netflix. The most recent release, Stay Close, is another excellent story that you won’t’ be able to tear yourself away from until you see the conclusion.

Megan (Cush Jumbo) has things from her past that she would rather stay there. But, life has a way of bringing up secrets. She and three others must face events from the past that will force their paths to cross and threaten their lives in the present.

This series also stars James Nesbitt, Richard Armitage and Sarah Parish.

Queer Eye

In the newest release of Queer Eye, the Fab Five head to Austin for season 6.

Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Antoni Porowski, Tan France and Jonathan Van Ness will pull at your heartstrings as they help transform lives. This season they will assist a honky tonk dance instructor, a transgender woman and Olympic weightlifting coach, a smelly cowboy, students at Navarro Early College High School, an Asian-inspired bakery owner, a DJ and more, in living their best lives.

Queer Eye season 6 features 10 inspiring episodes that will give you a better outlook on the world.

Rebelde

The first season of the Mexican telenovela, Rebelde, is a remake of the Argentine series Rebelde Way. Set at the prestigious private boarding college in Mexico City, Elite Way School (EWS), the main story focuses on six students forming a band.

EWS is a private school where high-class teens receive their degrees and head off to a successful future. These students have also formed a secret society known as The Lodge, whose sole purpose is to ensure the school’s upper-class students retain the status they feel they deserve. When a group of scholarship applicants in their first year arrive and, despite their differences, form a special bond over their love of music, The Lodge seems to make it difficult for them to succeed.

This series is a great teen musical with leading cast members with great chemistry. If you are of Julie and the Phantoms, be sure to check this one out.

After Life

The new season of Ricky Gervais’ series After Life will be released on Jan. 14. This gives you plenty of time to watch the first two seasons in preparation for the third.

The dark comedy was created, written, produced and directed by Gervais, who also stars in the Netflix original series.

Set in the fictional town of Tambury, this series tells the story of Tony Johnson (Gervais), a newspaper reporter who struggles with the loss of his wife to breast cancer. Instead of finding positive ways to start again, he decides to punish the world for his loss. He does and says whatever he likes without regard to who gets hurt. This plan backfires when everyone around pities him and tries to help him have a better life.

If you are a fan of Gervais, you should definitely give this one a look.

Stranger Things

Stranger Things season 4 will be released sometime in 2022. So, there is no better time for binge-watching the first three seasons.

The series was created by the Duffer Brothers. It is a sci-fi horror drama set in the town of Hawkins, Indiana, during the ’80s. Supernatural events start to occur in the town, including the disappearance of two kids and the appearance of a mysterious girl with psychokinetic abilities; this puts the whole town on edge.

Everyone involved in the investigation suspects Hawkins National Laboratory to be mixed up in something responsible for all paranormal and supernatural occurrences that cause a chain reaction.

This series has record viewership on Netflix and has received critical and audience acclaim for atmosphere, acting, soundtrack, directing writing and authentic 80s nostalgia.
